Redbud Cape Home Plan

The Redbud house is a cape-style home that had three additions to allow for growing expansion. With a functional first-floor plan of entryway complete with storage cabinetry, a walk-in laundry room, and a pantry. Also on the first floor is a full powder room with a shower just off the side entry and the office. A kitchen opens to the dining and living room.

The basement has a full bath next to a family room. In addition, the second floor features a primary suite plus two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Modifying the Plans: When you purchase any plan set for Redbud, you’ll receive three versions of the design. The first is as listed above. What’s different about Option 2? Well, with Option 2, we include plans for a mudroom entry, featuring bespoke built-in cabinetry. As for Option 3, we’ve designed a barn/garage with transition space to the F.R.O.G (Family Room Over the Garage). There is also an alternative screen porch.

The process is much simpler when clients can provide the CAD or DWG files for the home plan. If you only have PDFs, it’s important to understand that we essentially need to digitally rebuild the design within our CAD software to make edits from there. Ultimately, we find that it can be more cost- and time-efficient to draw a completely custom home from the get-go for those customers.
