Amy Dutton

Amy Dutton, Founder of Amy Dutton Home and Unfold, has spent over three decades designing homes that thoughtfully balance beauty, function, and livability. Her creative foundation began early and was shaped through experience at architecture and interior design firms in both Chicago and New England, where she developed her signature “whole home” approach, integrating interiors, exteriors, and landscapes into one cohesive vision.

In 1998, Amy founded Amy Dutton Home from her coastal Maine home, building her business from the ground up while raising her family. What started at a drafting table on her front porch has grown into a respected design studio, with more than 160 custom projects completed across the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine. Her work is rooted in a simple philosophy: thoughtful design has the power to improve how people live.

Unfold, launched in 2022, is a natural extension of that philosophy. Created in response to increasing demand, rising costs, and longer timelines in custom home design, Unfold makes Amy’s expertise more accessible through professionally designed home plans, curated material selections, and one-on-one consultations. Each offering is designed to help homeowners create spaces that reflect their lifestyle—while staying aligned with their timeline and budget.
