Fir Vacation Home Plan

This modern house is tall on the view side and short on the back side assuming most of these lots are on a steep grade lot. There are two parking areas dependent on your lot with a mudroom accessed from both areas - connecting the kitchen and the mudroom. On the foundation, or basement level, we have a two-car garage, mechanical room, ski (or lake) vestibule, family room, full bathroom, and a bunk room.

Then, we climb up the stairs to the main/ground level and land in the dining room, living room, then kitchen along the staircase. The kitchen has a large island with a walk-in pantry and plenty of storage. There is a first-floor suite with a full bath and a powder room both on the back side of the home while the living, dining, and kitchen all have spectacular views. The second-floor stairs land at a nice-sized family room with laundry off of this space and two good-sized bedrooms. A common bathroom is located between the two bedrooms on the second floor. The primary bedroom features a hallway for noise separation while the closets and bathroom also provide a noise buffer. The primary bath has a free-standing tub and separate shower. The primary bedroom, bath, and bedroom #3 all have cathedral ceilings with beautiful windows. There is a wood stove in the living room and gas stoves in the 2nd-floor family room and primary bedroom. The materials are as natural as possible to blend into the woods with rich blacks, grays, woods, and white walls.

Fir is the perfect vacation home if you’re looking for a modern vibe. With a view out the back side of the slope, this is great if you have a sloped lot on the front.

We’re happy to collaborate with you to ensure that the home plan you purchase meets your expectations and specific needs. There are, however, a few aspects that cannot be changed in order to maintain structural integrity and compliance with building regulations. Specifics can be found in the description of each home plan listed on our site. Generally, will not change the staircase location, roofline, or footprint of a home plan. Changing interior walls, bathroom layouts, cabinetry, and more to better meet your needs is completely attainable. Plans can also be flipped for the price of $200 (billed separately).

Yes! The rate for this service is $300/hour, and we’re happy to provide a cost estimate following an initial consultation. The process is much simpler when clients can provide the CAD or DWG files for the home plan. If you only have PDFs, it’s important to understand that we essentially need to digitally rebuild the design within our CAD software to make edits from there. Ultimately, we find that it can be more cost- and time-efficient to draw a completely custom home from the get-go for those customers.

As an architectural designer, Amy sends all completed custom home plans to your hired structural engineer to be stamped for approval. This ensures that the design adheres to all local building codes and structural requirements before construction begins.

Abrigo Home specializes in customizable home plans and design solutions. When it comes to executing those plans, we have a network of highly-regarded professionals who we’re happy to put you in touch with.
