This shingle style home is perfect for a beach house with massive views along the back of the house while lovely curb appeal from the front. Upon entering from the front, not only do you see out to the back but also the complete living, dining, and kitchen. A huge four-season porch, complete with a wood fireplace, opens entirely to the kitchen as well as the massive back deck. The living room has a gas fireplace and built-ins on each side. Tucked out of view are all the functional parts of a home: mudroom with desk, powder room, and elevator. A pantry is tucked behind the kitchen and under the stairs, in case you want to put a basement. The second floor has an expansive primary suite complete with a wood stove and views out the back, a large shower with a curved tiled wall, and a private water closet. There is a large shared bath and laundry for the two bedrooms and a large bunk room. The hallway features a common area that functions as a small family room. This house is low in elevation at 22’ ht. for those who have a wide lot but height restrictions.
If you have a wide lot and can accommodate a home wider than the 101’, we can expand the house wider very easily. We can also easily add a basement. There are many options for interior layout of this house without making any changes to the staircase location, roofline or footprint to customize the house for you.
Who are these home plans for? The Cherry Shingle Style home is a vacation home with a classic vibe. If you have a lot with a view out the back and love to entertain, this is the home for you.

We’re happy to collaborate with you to ensure that the home plan you purchase meets your expectations and specific needs. Specifics can be found in the description of each home plan listed on our site. Generally, will not change the staircase location, roofline, or footprint of a home plan. Yes! The rate for this service is $300/hour, and we’re happy to provide a cost estimate following an initial consultation. The process is much simpler when clients can provide the CAD or DWG files for the home plan. If you only have PDFs, it’s important to understand that we essentially need to digitally rebuild the design within our CAD software to make edits from there. Ultimately, we find that it can be more cost- and time-efficient to draw a completely custom home from the get-go for those customers.
As an architectural designer, Amy sends all completed custom home plans to your hired structural engineer to be stamped for approval. This ensures that the design adheres to all local building codes and structural requirements before construction begins.
Abrigo Home specializes in customizable home plans and design solutions. When it comes to executing those plans, we have a network of highly-regarded professionals who we’re happy to put you in touch with.
