Persimmon Ranch Home Plan

The Persimmon Ranch is a single-level home built on a mono-slab with no basement. With the removal of the staircase and the rearrangement of a few walls based on the Persimmon Cottage, we can get two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1500 square feet.

The Primary Suite is luxurious with both a walk-in closet and another closet as well as a spectacular bath, complete with a bathtub, water closet, tiled shower, and double vanity. The guest bedroom/office is functional with a full bath. A separate laundry room accesses the outside and there is also a slider off the dining area.

The open-concept living space includes a large kitchen and living room with an efficient dining area with a built-in bench. This ranch has the same amazing entry area as the Persimmon Cottage with mudroom components and sweet round table and a built-in window seat.

The Primary bedroom, Kitchen, Dining, Living and Entry all have cathedral ceilings. Attic storage and HVAC systems are above all the other areas.

We can easily expand this house in any way that you desire with such a simple roofline. We would just re-roof the house with a gable roof.

Customize the Persimmon Ranch by expanding the simple roofline in any direction. We can also raise the ranch for a walkout basement raised ranch design, or add a second story. From architecture to interiors, the design exudes an intimate, inviting atmosphere – achieved with wood tones, soapstone, brass accenting, wood floors, and cream cabinetry. Make these aspects your own, as well, with any customizations you prefer.

We’re happy to collaborate with you to ensure that the home plan you purchase meets your expectations and specific needs. There are, however, a few aspects that cannot be changed in order to maintain structural integrity and compliance with building regulations. Specifics can be found in the description of each home plan listed on our site. Generally, will not change the staircase location, roofline, or footprint of a home plan. Changing interior walls, bathroom layouts, cabinetry, and more to better meet your needs is completely attainable. Plans can also be flipped for the price of $200 (billed separately).

Yes! The rate for this service is $300/hour, and we’re happy to provide a cost estimate following an initial consultation. The process is much simpler when clients can provide the CAD or DWG files for the home plan. If you only have PDFs, it’s important to understand that we essentially need to digitally rebuild the design within our CAD software to make edits from there. Ultimately, we find that it can be more cost- and time-efficient to draw a completely custom home from the get-go for those customers.

As an architectural designer, Amy sends all completed custom home plans to your hired structural engineer to be stamped for approval. This ensures that the design adheres to all local building codes and structural requirements before construction begins.
